Trail builders

Sam von Trapp, left, and Hardy Avery stand on a section of the mountain bike trail the Trapp Family Lodge is creating in the woods behind its hotel. The new trails will create an important link between the trailhead at Stowe Mountain Resort's cross-country touring center to the north and the Cottonbrook trails to the south. Stowe High School sophomore Dylan Conti can't grow a beard yet. Fortunately, for Dylan he was not hurt in this crash. His little mishap at the Stowe Bike Park left him with a mouth full of dirt and the beard he's been hoping to grow.

Pie of perfection




Becky McGovern (right) presented one of her homemade strawberry rhubarb pies on Tuesday, June 24, to Anna Roberts, for having perfect attendance during the spring season of the Cottonbrook Fun Run. The fun runs are free and open to anyone. They happen each Tuesday night in Cottonbrook in Stowe.
